We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced outdoor instructors to join our 2023 summer team, here at Black Mountain Adventure

Black Mountain Adventure Ltd (formerly Black Mountain Activities) is a family-run center, specialising in delivering a wide range of outdoor adventure activities to a variety of clients. As a multi-activity centre we work with a range of ages and abilities from children, youth groups, schools, families, social groups, stag & hen parties and corporate events.

We are looking for highly motivated indivuduals to join our summer 2022 team, and who can positively contribute to our continued growth as an outdoor activity business.

Multi-Activity Instructor

Job Description

The role of the instructor is to deliver a safe, informative and enjoyable activity session, working within the company’s guidelines and NGB qualifications. Where there is no qualification the company offers in-house training. Some of our activities such as Rock Climbing, Gorge Walking and Caving take place around 40 minutes drive from the centre. For these activities, you may be asked to either meet the clients at the activity venue or to transport our customers to these venues in one of our mini buses, so having a D1 on your license would be an advantage. Car license is essential.

Pre-requisites

Applicants MUST have at least TWO of the following NGB qualifications along with a current first aid certificate:

• Rock Climbing Instructor Award
• British Canoeing Paddlesport Leader/Coach Award (or 4 star canoe/kayak)
• Summer Mountain Leader
• Mountain Bike Leader Award
• Local Cave Leader – South Wales Level 1 or higher
• D1 Minibus License

Working week

Working hours is normally 8:30am to 5:30pm. There will be times during your employment that you will be required to work additional evening hours; this is usually from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. A flexible weekly roster is programmed on a weekly basis.

Salary

Good rate of pay depending on qualification and experience

March to October 2023 (proposed start date will be first week of March)
